Removal |

1. |
Shut off the high voltage circuit. (Refer to Automatic Transaxle System - "High Voltage Shut-off Procedure") |
2. |
Drain the coolant of hybrid cooling system. (Refer to Hybrid Motor System - "Coolant") |
3. |
Remove the hybrid power control unit (HPCU) assembly. (Refer to Hybrid Control System - "Hybrid Power Control Unit") |
4. |
Disconnect the TCM connector (A) and ECM connector (B).

5. |
Remove the TCM (A) and ECM (B).
|
6. |
Remove the HPCU tray (C) after removing the nut (A) and wiring mounting clips (B).
|
7. |
Disconnect the gear actuator motor connector (A) and gear actuator solenoid connector (B).
|
8. |
Disconnect the connectors (A, B, C). (A) : Clutch actuator connector (B) : Input speed sensor connector (C) : Inhibitor switch connector
|
9. |
Disconnec the hybrid drive motor connector (A) and loosen the wiring bracket mounting bolt (B).
|
10. |
Remove the ground (A).
|
11. |
Loosen the wiring bracket mounting bolt (A) and TCM ground mounting bolt (B).
|
12. |
Remove the shift cable after loosening the bolts (B) and nut (A).
|
13. |
Separate the hybrid motor cooler upper hose and remove the bracket (B).
|
14. |
Loosen the hybrid drive motor upper mounting bolts (A).
|
15. |
Remove the covers (A).
|
16. |
Assemble the engine support fixture on the engine room. (Refer to Special Service Tools - "Engine support fixture assembly drawing")
|
17. |
Remove the cover (A).
|
18. |
Support the transmission on a jack.
|
19. |
Remove the transmission mounting bracket bolts (A).
|
20. |
Remove the transmission support bracket (A).
|
21. |
Remove the sub frame. (Refer to Suspension System - "Sub Frame") |
22. |
Remove the drive shaft assembly. (Refer to Driveshaft and Axle - "Front Driveshaft") |
23. |
Remove the CKP sensor loosening a bolt (A) and then loosen the heater pump bracket bolts (B).

Remove the roll rod support bracket (A).
|
25. |
Disconnect the engine clutch actuator connecor (A).
|
26. |
Saparate engine clutch actuator hose (A) and motor cooler lower hose (B).
|
27. |
Loosen the transmission lower mounting bolts (A, B) after supporting the transmission safely on a jack.
|
28. |
After separating the transmission from the engine, remove the transmission by lowering the jack slowly.
|
29. |
Remove the hybrid drive motor assembly from the DCT assembly. (Refer to Hybrid Motor System - "Hybrid Drive Motor Assembly") |
Installation |
1. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.

2. |
Observe each separate procedure below for reinstallation or replacement with a new dual clutch transmission.
